HELP! Very high idle after headers & rockers installation
Re: HELP! Very high idle after headers & rockers installation
It was the IAC. Well, it wasn't the IAC valve itself, but the harness that plugs into it. The four plastic prongs on the end of it are shattered, and the electrodes are sticing out of them unprotected. Also the clips that go over the valve that hold the harness on are broken off as well. That's why it idled at first, but after the motor was shaking for a couple minutes (open headers) it backed itself out and started idling high. I got it back in with some tape holding it for now. I'm off to find a new harness tomorrow. I knew it had to be something dumb. Anyways, thanks for the suggestions, and I'll be at National Trail Raceway in 14 days. All of you in central Ohio who are going down on opening day let me know......
Thanks
Brandon
