I have a vented opti harness part # 12130319 that i bought for my opti conversion. It doesnt plug into the factory wiring harness. doest the plug have to be modified. the old plug and the new one are similar but the tabs that only make them fit one way are a little different. the old one has a tab that sticks out from the side and one thats in the middle between two of the pins. The new plug has two tabs that stick out from the side of the inside.

It looks like if I cut one of the tabs on the new harness that I could make it work is this ok to do ?

 

I have replaced this wire two times and for some reason the side that connects near the manifold doesnt fit. I just cut the tab on the inside and it's been working fine for almost a year now with no troubles

 

Yeah, just cut the tab... I converted mine too...
