Unhappy HELP!!! tuned up my car now no clutch

I just finished tuning up my car. When I went to drive it the clutch is slipping horribly. My car was up on front ramps for 4 days. I changed tranny fluid, oil, oil filter, plugs and plug wires. I figured I would take the car for a spin before I install my new fuel filter but the car seemed to have some problems. I started down the road in first and hit it and it started spinning but when I hit second the car revved without gaining speed . So i turn on another road thinking maybe it was a one time thing but this time I shifted to 3rd and 4th and both times it was revving without going I was told when I bought the car it had a stage 1 clutch and it felt really good and it felt good when it was pulled up on the ramps. The car has never acted like this before. I am wondering if my clutch has completely went out or is there an easy fix. Please all opinions are welcome.

You said you changed the fluid and filter? Did you put the correct fluid in and enough of it in? You may could have accidentally knocked something loose under the car but thats probably unlikely. Im havin tranny problems right now too. I hate transmissions.

In the tranny I only changed the fluid. I put in Mobile 1 Synthetic ATF Dexron III tranny fluid. I put until it started coming out of the fill hole (Approx. 4.5-5.5 qts.). I am really confused about what is wrong with it. There is two things I have come to hate with this car in the last month and that is changing plugs and plug wires, and this tranny(until it is fixed).

You need to check the trans fluid level while the cars running.

This may be a dumb question but how exactly do you do that?

Just fire up the car, let it warmup a bit, run the shifter through the gears and with it still running get out and check the level on the dipstick.

How many miles are on the clutch? Sounds like it`s just worn out.

undo the "fill" nut while its on ramps and check to see if fluid comes out, if not, put more in it. When i did mine it was still trying to spit some out when on put on the bolt, but i didnt let it

Ive only had the car for a 1 1/2 months now and Ive personally put 2k miles on it (I love to drive ). I found the receipt for the new tranny and clutch in the dash and it was from 3/2003. I am guessing that is should have around 10-15k on it. maybe. The only thing is that the clutch felt in great condition until I pulled it up there. If a main rear seal was leaking then would that leak on my clutch if it was on stands for 4 days. The reason I asked about the last sentence b/c a buddy of mine said that it was but I know nothing about it and really dont know his knowledge of it. It seems that the more I drive the car the worse it gets. I drove it to the store a little later and i could let completely out on the clutch and it wouldnt grip and jump a little. I was thinking of letting my car just run a while and see if the main rear seal was leaking the oil in there would burn and my car would be better again. I am completely confussed about the situation. I am up for any suggestions.

You should try opening up the cap on the clutch fluid reservoir and pumping the clutch for a minute. This may push some air out of your hydraulic lines. this is what i did to mine when i thought the clutch was slipping. Good luck
