Its the same as a valvestem core. The middle of it is spring loaded so you have to push down and turn at the same time.

BTW remember to release the pressure in your fuel system first.

You should be able to loosen it all the way, then it will get to a point where you can grab it with your fingertips and pull it out.

Are you sure you're getting the tool down on it right?

Try it on your tire to get a feel of what you have to do.

I tried it on my tire and got a good feel for it, but I still cant seem to grab the stem and turn it. It feels like the tool is turning without the stem. I'm even pushing down hard on it. Is there a better tool than the one i showed in the first post?

It's all pretty much the same tool. What I use is a pocket screwdriver version of that tool(it has the tool on the other end of a pocket scredriver) I just cut the screwdriver portion off. I have been in a bind and had to use the screwdriver end before also. I just took the flat blade of the screwdriver and turned it out, that way is a bitch if it's tight though.

Question

Once it's pulled out can it be reinstalled at a later time? How much did that tool cost anyways? Did you finally get it out? Thanks.

Havent got it out yet. Are there different size tools you can use to get it out? Maybe mine is the wrong size?

THIS IS KILLING ME. I tried using a dremel to shave the tool down a bit so its thinner, but no luck. Then i tried to cut the middle of the tool down so the prongs are longer, but no luck. I have no idea why this wont work. I'm prob going to take off the fuel rails and see if i can get at it from the top. Being under the cowl doesnt help much
