Question Help with Rebuilding POSI

I'm thinking of rebuilding my POSI by myself and would like some advise on it.
I've seen rebuild Kits available for POSI's that includes new carbon disks and other hardware for about $75-85 from Eaton.
my question is, IS IT POSSIBLE TO REBUILD THE REAREND WITHOUT REMOVING THE UNIT FROM THE CAR?
also, what steps should I take to make sure I get it done right and make sure the axles don't fly off the car?

You'll probably have to remove it. For that price, just throw in an extra few bucks and get an SLP takeoff Torsen differential.

You cannot rebuild your differential. It is a cone POS.

And getting an SLP take-off....lol. Been awhile since they had a f-bod to take one off on.
