Well, guys I still have not found a job so no syn. oil for me this round. I have to go a little cheaper and I was told by some friends just to toss something called an additive into my next oil change. I have seen things like Slick 50, Lucas oil additive and a few others. My question is what do this things do to the oil once they are mixed? Do they actually do anything? Out of all the different ones they make which one is the best, so far I heard Slick 50 is the best. Any info on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

Well if it's of any help I have a buddy who happens to be a mechanic and he ran lucas additive in his 93 k5 for over 80k miles and was very pleased. 150k miles and still going.
