HELP!! Question on Header Install

I am on day 2 of my Jet Hot header install and almost done. Anyways we have a slight problem. When putting the A.I.R. system back on the passender side, the tube broke off!!! The one that comes off the header. My question is will my car run ok if I just plug up the A.I.R. tube with a bolt or something on the passenger side and have the driver side bolted correctly (since that is all bolted up ready to go)? I dont' have a cat, so I guess I really didn't need the emission headers. Or could I get an exhaust guy to weld that piece back on? I really don't know so help me out here guys any help will be GREATLY appreciated.

Either way would be ok.Probably should have it welded in case you have emissions checks.

since you don't have a cat, the AIR system isn't doing anything anyway. Plug all the lines up or just go ahead and remove the AIR system.

If you're not running any cats then I'm guessing emissions testing is not a concern in your area. Take the stupid air pump off, it's serving no purpose other than sitting there taking up space in the engine compartment. Cap/plug any air fittings on the longtubes. While you're at it cap off the egr too.

Well we are going to just plug up everything, but what did you guys use to plug it up. Just use some screws and maybe some JB Weld?

hmmm... my hookers don't have any emissons fittings so I dunno. I did block off my egr valve with a piece of cork and some rtv and then I rigged up a little metal piece to apply constant pressure onto the cork so it wouldn't ever wiggle out. Hey it's pretty ghetto but it's behind the engine so who's gonna see it anyway? On the headers I imagine you could plug it off with some jb weld but I think that'd be pretty permanent so make sure you do not and will not have any future need for emissions equipment. Maybe some copper rtv (high temp stuff) would work as well and be less permanent.
