help please.

When I first start my car (95 z28) its fine. If I shut it off and start it again it goes to normal rpms then feels like its gonna die out but doesnt. The rpms go up and down slightly but one I hit the gas it goes back to normal. This all occurs when its in park and my so called me'manic doesn't even know what's wrong. Hopefully someone had the same problem and can help

TPS or IAC

A few common items are the TPS and IAC. The TPS wears over time and must replaced periodically. The IAC is common to get carbon buildup on it. Although it typically has a different problem where it keeps the idle too high too long. The point is, it is regular requirement to clean the TB and replace the TPS.

Please tell us more about the car.....

Start by a good examination of things....look at the duct between the MAF and the TB. Sometimes they're folded under where you can't see it or even torn.

Follow that up by putting the car on a scanner..TTS power systems offers datamaster software you can download and use up to 20 times before you have to buy it. You'll need a cable, though, and AKM cables can help you out. Anyway, datamaster tells you what's going on with the sensors, etc.

I'd recommend you don't through parts at it...these driveability issues can be any of a myriad of things. As speedy says, the IAC can get gunked up...but it can be cleaned if you're careful.

Good luck,

Thank you, I put the car on scanner at the shop and shockingly it said the car is running normal. If there is something wrong with the air intake elbow it would cause that? Also how would I clean the Oscar? Thank you for all the help!!!
