Help with part throttle stumble/backfire

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Car is a 94 formula with 210,000 miles. had been running perfect up to this point. Still getting 24 MPG on the hwy. Opti is 5 months old. Just replaced plugs, coil wire, coil, ICM. Datamaster logging shows constant knock retard under any throttle. Car bucks and backfires under load. WOT get a backfire and then it pulls hard to redline with knock retard all the way. 02 sensors are original but seem to be working properly. I do not have a fuel pressure gauge but LTFT and STFT appear normal. I am thiking of changing 02 ssensors and fuel pump(original) but do not like throwing parts at a problem. Could my timing chain have jumped a tooth ???? Any Ideas anyo0ne ??? Wife says to dump the car but I have been driving it for over 10 years and would like to run it another 10 yrs. Car is stock with CAI and catback. I also cleaned the MAF sensor with no effect in case it had oil on it. Valve covers have never been off and last oil analysis showed a clean running healthy engine with no blowby, coolant, fuel or other issues.

TIA

Ted

Could the knock sensor be defective?

Re: Help with part throttle stumble/backfire

I guess its possible but I tend to beleive the knock is real because of how bad the engine is stumbling
