Thumbs down Help needed ASAP, slave cyl. won't go in

Finishing up my clutch install and my slave cylinder won't go back in. I place the end of the pushrod in the clutch fork but then it won't compress enough for me to bolt it up.

When out, the pushrod hangs loosely and can be moved around alot, I cannot seem to push it in any though. Also the clutch pedal is hard as a rock, I could probably push it in but I don't want to break anything.

Ideas?

You did reinstall the aluminum spacer between the bellhousing and slave, correct?

Yes, thats back in where it goes. I think the problem is that the cylinder just isn't compressing, but I don't know why or anything.

Thanks guys I got it in, I decided to not be a wiener and pushed hard like Jordan said. I didn't try that before cause I was afraid to break something.

Muchas gracias
