Help is my timing correct?

I have been having what seems like a power loss every know and then and a rich problem that seems to come and go (New O2s with thunder racing extensions fot LTs headers). I am not throwing any codes but my buddy has a scanner so we hooked it up and took it for a drive and everything check out good except the knock module and timing(?) The knock module was reading open, ground, good, and just keep reading those three over and over. Plus the timing was at 36* at idle and at 3/4 throttle it went all the way to 52* of timing. I didn't go WOT due to the fact that I have never seen or heard an lt1 advancing that high in timing. I am thinking that my knock module is bad but it was not pulling any timing! Is what is going on with my timing normal? Thanks

Also I have Jegs 8.5mm wires with NGK TR55 plugs that I am replacing with some Autolite 106s
Opinions Please and any help would be great!!!!!
