HELP!! Missing on 2 4 6 8

We're working on a '96 Impy and we replaced the plugs and wires and tranny. After we put it all back together, now its missing on 2,4,6 and 8 cylinders Any suggestions on what to look for? We know its not crossed wires and it was working fine before

Make sure the plugs are making a proper connection with the opti on that side.

How bad is the miss? Is it missing at idle? Could be a bad O2 sensor or unplugged O2 sensor.

Did you verify the plug wires are in the right order? Don't rely on memory as far as the opti order goes, verify to the numbers on it. Maybe one of you thought the numbering started from the bottom versus the top, etc? That's about all I can think of... <shrug>

Yea, that's what is so strange about it. I know the wires are hooked up correctly. We thought about O2's but if one of them were bad, wouldn't it throw a code for it as well?

I don't know if the injector wiring is the same, but you might try looking at the injector fuses. How do you know it is 2-4-6-8 that is missing? Scanner?
