did you take the plug to the MAF off and try to start it, I'm telling you it might work, but you'll get an SES light and it might rev a little high at idle. Just try it.

car won't run with the maf off...tried it. I found a leak in my radiator so I am going to have to fix that too. The car starts now, but still on like every third start after pressing on the gas. I went to try to bring it too the shop, and he can't take it till next week. I can't think of anything else to try. Any more suggestions?

Check the IAC... Maybe the IAC is clogged or something and you can't get air in to start it until you open the throttle a little bit but it still would not allow the car to idle. If you are getting a new starter I suggest either the CVR Protorque or the LT4, they are both 140, the LT4 is smaller in size.

how does it run once its started?

if it runs just fine and dandy, then its probably just your starter, battery, or something simple like that.

if it chugs and almost stalls out, or runs rough, tell us the symptoms and we could probably narrow it down better.

Finally fixed!!!! I decided to just go out and buy a new starter, even though I had it tested 3 times, at two different places. Each time it tested perfect. But I jsut put a new one and what do you know, it started right up. Thanks for all the help and suggestion guys. My Mechanic said when I was pressing on the gas, it was probably just enough to shake things up a bit and make it work. Now on to the next big project I saw while changing the starter....Leaking oil pan. I'll have to save that one for the summer time though. Thanks everyone
