Ok so a friend of a friend has an lt1 z28 not sure which year but he keeps running his mouth about how he will smoke me and wants to race for $500.

I told him theres no way a stock LT1 is going to hang but he says well its not stock. He says it has an lt1 out of a corvette that has 325 HP.

Ive never heard of any 325hp lt1 and 325 hp didnt sound intimidating anyway so I met up with him tonight and lined up.

I raced him twice and absolutely embarrassed him but now he is running his mouth about how his tranny doesnt shift right. So I tell him, neither does mine...actually it doesnt shift at all until i let off. But anyway he keeps babbling about how badass this 325hp lt1 is and with his 411 gears he confident he will walk on me.

I have insisted there is no such lt1 w/ 325 stock hp but I wanted to check with the guys on here to see if maybe its just some limited edition type of motor or what? Personally i think its a stock lt1 camaro that got owned =)

 

There was no stock option for a 325hp LT1 Vette.

 

You got him covered. I wouldnt worry about it. If its a stock lt1 out of a vette then the only thing he has going for him is the fact that he has a 4 blot main.

As for the mods, the guy just doesn't understand. He knows its not stock but hes not even concerned with what ive got because he is so dead set on nothing can beat his fictional corvette motor.

Would I put my car up against a stock camaro? risk my lic., risk going to jail, waste my fuel etc. No cause I know its a waste of time. If you have heads and cam and are even worried about him at all I feel sorry for you.

Yes we are racing in the street but its in the middle of nowhere and put $500 in my pocket. Oddly enough the price of gas was a good investment.

And I am not worried about losing to him. The purpose of this thread was to inquire about this guy's supposed 325hp stock lt1. You would already know that though if you read the post instead of skipping right to the trash talking.

Take him to the track where there is no excuse like "You jumped" or "I missed a shift" ect...

 

His only excuse is that his auto trans is not shifting. He says otherwise he would burn me lol. Im just going to stop trying to enlighten him and take his money again.

Not pretty here either and normally I wouldnt risk it. I couldnt pass on his $500 though. And Im not mad, I am actually having a great night with an extra $500 in my pocket. I just dont like your snobby attitude.
