Help me make up my mind

Of course with this being my first Z with the LT1 I'm getting alot of advice. I'm wanting to have my exhaust reworked, it was there when I bought it and it looks like someone used spare parts. Sounds great but it looks really bad. I know that I'm the only one that looks under there, but it bothers me. I am considering adding headers when I do it and of course everyone has pros and cons. I thought you guys could lead me in the right direction. I have a good friend that works for Holley in Bowling Green and he said he could get me a great deal on a set of Hooker headers. Any suggestions?

I have the hooker super comp long tubes (ceramic coated of course), and as far as I am concerned, they have been great. Other people have had mixed opinions about the pacesetter's allthough lately I have been hearing good things about them too, and also that they had fixed the previous issues with them.

Re: Help me make up my mind

Awesome setup you have, Z95 is right get a good dyno-tune from someone reputable, as for headers man there are a lot of good options out there, it boils down to bang for the buck. I had JetHots, they were ok except for the #1 primary leak from the slipfit, but their customer service is great, they take care of their customers, Hooker super comp LTs have the same setup with the slipfit and I've yet to hear of anyone having leak problems, Pacesetters I don't know about for LT1s, but on LS1s they are really nice from what I'm hearing, for the price and fitup on LS1s you can't beat the deal. Of course Kooks if you can spring the pricetag are really awesome headers, have yet to hear anything bad about them.
