Help me identify stock rod bolts

I have had a bad experience with the machine shop (RPM Machine in West Jordan, UT) I used to rebuild my motor. Among other things, they charged me for stuff they didn't do (align hone) and took 3 months to complete work that should have taken a month at the most. The guy assembling the motor (not affiliated with the shop) wonders if the ARP bolts I paid for made it into the motor. The rod bolts in the motor (just recently put back together) have an hourglass looking indent at the top of the rod bolt. Is this a stock rod bolt?

I need to know since it will affect where I set the rev limiter.

Before I get advice to go after the place, I am moving across the country in 3 weeks and don't have time to pursue legal action.

Thanks.

Re: Help me identify stock rod bolts

I believe my ARP rod bolt nuts had ARP stamped into them. Anyone else know for sure.

The stock rod bolts are more of a stud than a bolt. They have a "T" shaped head on them. There is just a nut that goes on the other end. If they are ARP's, then the nut will have ARP stamped on it, and most likely the stud will too.

Re: Help me identify stock rod bolts

Right.
The stock bolts almost look like the ARP bolts, (stud & nut), but the ARP's have the "ARP" on them and the dot for a rod bolt stretch gauge.
The stock bolts do not have any of that. They don't even have a spot to put a gauge on them.

That sucks on the machine shop screw job. Sorry to hear it.
