How are you trying to get it off and with what puller?

I am using a harmonic balancer pulley. I use a smaller bolt in the center of the hub and still nothing.

What have you tried? The balancer on my '94 came off rather easily with a small puller.

If you're pulling from the center, you're probably pulling against yourself. Did you remove only the 3 bolts that mount it to the hub.

In the picture it shows the pulley still on the hub? Do I leave it on there or take it off?

The three bolts are what mount the pulley to the hub. Put the center bolt back in. That's what your puller will be pushing against to get the balancer off. In the pic, shoebox has a socket over the center bolt to prevent damaging the head, but I don't think you need to really worry about that if you're careful. The hub will remain on the shaft. Do you want to take the hub off also?

You should also mark the balancer and the shaft so that you can install it exactly as it is mounted now. Otherwise, if you get the orientation off it could end up out of balance.

Take the factory bolt to the hardware store, get a 3" long grade 8 bolt that matches your threads, screw it in crank at least 1/2", puller then should get hub off. Works for me!! Danny Mc

OK. I've never taken the hub off, so I can't help you there.
