HELP me fix my intermittent miss ...
My car seems to have an intermittent miss. Usually its fine, but then once and a while, it will start missing. When it happens, it misses pretty badly. BUT NOT at idle, and not really much past 2400-2500RPM's ... When its missing, if I let it die down to idle, you can hear a slight ticking up in the front of the motor by the Opti. However, last time it happened i wiggled my plug wires, fired it up, and it was fine. Coincidental possibly though. Yesterday i took the car out for a spin, was out for about 15 mins and it starts to miss pretty ruff. Then as fast as it started, 2 minutes later it totally dissapeared and was running perfect. While it was missing, it was making that small electircal click pop sort of sound. I highly doubt its the distributer f'ing up cause the car only has 14,000 origional miles on it as well as the opti. And the Opti NEVER has gotten very wet. I dont even drive the car in the rain. I use my old mans blazer. So im figuring its wires arching. But ... What can make the wires not arch, then all of the sudden start to, then stop ... The wires may or may not be origional im not sure. However, I got under at nite and saw NONE arching. What else could it be though? I dont want to buy wires if it wont fix the car. Any input would be appriciated cause if it is definatly wires, Ill get them done in a week or two when my headers come in, do it all at the same time. Thanks everyone

Given the age of the car not so much the mileage it may be wire time, or at least time to pull wire ends at the opti and see if you got any corrosian. Again age not mileage. You get any code / check engine light when it misses?
