I'm am torn on who/what I want to do with my LT4 heads. Of course, it's between AI and Lloyd. For the same price I can get either AI's econo-port and cam or Lloyds LE2 package but with 2.05/1.60 valves. Or I can spend a few hundred more and get AI's Full Port LT4 job. Tough decision. I'll know I'd be happy either way, but still wanna make the best investment. With the obvious needed add-ons, any estimations on HP/TQ output? Both companies seem to be outstanding with awesome customer service so I know I can't lose. Thanks for any suggestions you can give.

 

I say if you can afford it get the Ai LT4's. You would have some killer heads now and heads that could support a lot more radical setup (stroker) later on in the future.

 

I'm in the same boat as you are. Would love to see some suggestions!

 

That's a heck of a decision to make. I have talked to both via email and both answered emails very quickly and were very helpful. Phil at AI even offered to let me go to the shop and check them out in action (since I live in NC).

 

Yeah, the decision is a very tough one. I'd never seen any power #'s from an LT4 head with 2.05/1.6 from Lloyd, so thats make its a lil tougher while I see AI''s LT4 heads with the 2.02 valves making big HP. Decisions, decisions.

 

i know if i could do it all over again i'd go with Lloyd's heads and cam package (if i didn't have my AFR's) but since you do maybe AI would be a better choice, just depends on your budget....just my .02

 

fstenuf - My Lt4's heads are just the GM castings, not the AFR (wish they were). One thing that puzzled me about AI was that my quote for the heads was higher than what they list on the net, by $200. I am gonna ask about that, could be somehing that I just missed though. I just wish I knew of people who had theses heads so they can give me some input on their power numbers.

 

Ya thinken of getting the LE3 package from loyd, anybody already have it that can tell me how they like it? power#'s/ drivablity/time slips/cam sound at idle. thanks

 

Kind of hard finding people with dyno #'s with the packages we are inquiring about.

 

Go with the biggest heads and cam(not a stupid one)you can afford or just big heads and install a bigger cam later.Ya gonna want more after your first taste!!!!! Let LE get you the whole package,heads,port work,cam,springs and all the jewelry that goes with it.
