Help ! LT1 stalling - EGR ?

Hi Guys,
I have a problem with my '94 Formula :

A couple of weeks ago, the engine stalled when idling at a stop light. It fired back up, but idle very rough and stalled again. After 15 minutes, I tried again to start it up, and it ran fine.

A week later, I parked the car, and when I started it up again 1/2 hour later, it showed the same symptoms as above. I assumed the EGR valve might be the cause, so I revved the engine to 5000, and it ran smoothly.

Yesterday, the engine stalled on the highway @ about 3500 rpm. It started up ok, revved up fine, and I continued to drive for a couple of miles, when the same thing happened again. This time the engine would crank, but not fire up at all. 1/2 hour later, still the same. I had the car towed home, and this morning it started up fine.

I have ordered the EGR blockoff plate and will yank the whole thing, anyway, but can this be something else ? I got confused by the engine not firing up at all yesterday. Opti ? Spark plugs / wires ? ICM ? Fuel pump / filter ?

Air and fuel filters are as good as new, and besides CAI and cat-back the car is stock @ 84.000 miles.

The car runs perfectly fine now, which makes it kind of difficult to troubleshoot. No SES light, either.

Can this be just the EGR, or more likely something else ?

Thx,

Pete

it is more than likely something else. i would say change plugs, wires, and coil first off. the fuel pump could be going out and so could the opti. you can probally get it scanned and see what comes up.

Thanks, guys, I'll start with coil and wires. Plugs are fairly new, but I'll check them, too.
