Re: HELP!!!! LT-1 header install

The EGR tube is flexible and the small plate swivels on the tube, so it should be pretty easy to line it up...unless I'm missing something regarding your situation.

Re: HELP!!!! LT-1 header install

does the egr tube go in between the first and second primarys on the header???? whats happening is the header is about an inch aft of where its supposed to be.. when I push it forward to try to match the bolt holes up, the egr tube is in the way and preventing it from moving any farther.

Re: HELP!!!! LT-1 header install

As stated earlier, you should be able to bend the tube quite a bit. Just bend it out of the way.... If it is something else, then try to take a picture to show what you are talking about.

Re: HELP!!!! LT-1 header install

yeah I already tried to bend it and its almost like the pipe is flexible, it just springs right back in place.... oh well, I'll figure it out I guess

Re: HELP!!!! LT-1 header install

I don't understand - ESPECIALLY since you questioned whether of not you could fit it between header primaries.... that should be impossible, and I don't see how it would help at all... take a picture?

The EGR tube runs to the back of the intake. I don't think that is what you are messing with.

I think you are talking about the Air tube. This runs from the electric air pump to both sides of the engine. The factory setup had a check valve in the exhaust manifold.

On the SLP headers, mid-length, you had to bend the tube out towards the fender and the header slipped behind it. I had to do this on the passenger side only.

If you have two tubes that look alike then it is the air system, egr only has one tube.

Re: HELP!!!! LT-1 header install

yes it is the air tube that hooks directly into the air box so to speak.. I thought that was an EGR valve that was on the actual stock exhaust manifold?? maybe not, anyways, I'm having trouble with that tube, the one that come out on either side of the manifolds getting in the way... ONLY on the passenger side though. thanks.
