I just did a hotcam/header installation
switched from OBDII to OBDI
and did have it tuned for the hotcam kit which i got
SO
i did NOT switch knock sensors and im running open headers till; i get to an exhaust shop tomorrow

so here is my question..
Can the knock sensor from my OBDII cause the check engine light to come on?
and im getting like no go from the car, drove it aout 3 miles or so and it wont go could it be cuz of the knock sensor and oppen headers????
any suggestions or comments PLEASE!

 

It definately could be a factor in losing power. However i am not sure about throwing codes. I would doubt it, but i could be wrong.

 

I would suggest changing the knock sensor. The reistance on the blue wire between the PCM and sensor is 3.9K for OBDI and 100K for OBDII. They are different sensors.

I would think with open headers you'd have knock anyway.

Do you mean the knock sensor? The knock module is located in the PCM on the passenger side of the engine.

 

well.. i am thinking about getting the LT4 KM.....so where would that go.
