HELP!!!...flashing SES light after head/cam install.

Hey fellas,
I can't win for loosing and the only luck I have is **** po' luck

I just picked my car up today. I had Lloyd Elliot heads and 230/236/112 installed. A new opti, taylor wires, new ngk tr55, timing chain (LT 4 ED), 30# injectors were also installed.

The car idles fine and is set at 950rpm. The SES light flashes only when I'm driving the car. On the way home, the car pulles strong above 3K. I can tell there's plenty of power---just none down low.
I'm taking the car to Autozone tomorrow to let them scan the car for me. The car feels like there's a loose wire upon takeoff. I can't even spin the tires anymore
Tuning was done by Madwolf (I'm not pointing the finger at him--He does damn good work!!!).
I just need suggestions as to what can be wrong.

I also definately need gears. 6th gear with my stock 3.42s in non-existant unless I'm running 85-90mph.

Any Suggestions, Thanks

Tim

My guess is either a spark plug wire is loose or 2 are switched around.....pretty easy to start there. Or take it back to whoever did the install. That thing should scream!!

Thanks fellas,
I'll let you all know tomorrow what the codes read.

To those that have that cam,
Would you recommend the 3.73 or the 4.10s
I don't want to have an issue with vibration, but I want the best combo with the cam.

Thanks

Tim

Cool Problem solved

Hey guys...It was EXACTLY what you said it would be.
The spark plug wire on the #5 spark plug of the driver side was barely connected. The only thing that was keeping it from falling off was the heat shield.
After pulling the heat shield and securing the wire, the car runs like a bat out of hell.

Gears...the way this car pulled, I don't need them but I will get them to furthur punish my clutch. Hell, I laid a track from my house to the end of the neighbors house a few minutes ago and I could have keep it up but didn't want to burn all the rubber off the nittos

Needless to say, I am very pleased with the new set up. All that left to do now is get to the dyno and see what the car is putting down at the wheels.

Lloyd Elliot...Your porting abilites are awsome. Your heads mated with ANY cam will produce some serious power. Thank you.

Madwolff...thanks for your help. Without your tuning expertise, the car would not run as smooth and pull as hard

To everyone that helped in my posts from past to present, I appreciate it.

Tim
