let it dry and try to start it later shouldnt take to long
probably got the ignition wet i wouldnt worry unless it wont start after you let it sit
its not good to spray water on electrical the water let the magic smoke out of the components the magic smoke is what runs the car

I washed it this morning at 9 so it should of had plenty of time to dry I got it started once and it was very very rough and the idle kept going really low then back up but the whole car was shaking and after 30 min i tried to move it up the driveway because it was sticking halfway into the street and it stalled im afraid i really f###ed something up,.

It can take days to dry (if it even will). It is not recommended to spray water on the distributor (most often called optispark). Pray that it will dry out and you can delay in having to get a new one ($300 at the cheapest and you do the work yourself).
Now you know all those people you talked to were mistaken.

I aggree w/ the assumption that you got your opti wet and it messed it up.

the optispark is gm's version of a distriubitor....there is a vented opti, however i believe that you have to change out several things; not just the opti.
