i am trying to get these valve springs in, the part number is 10308-1.
do i use the stock spring seats or just remove them and put the shim that came in the kit in its place?

the reason i ask is i removed the stock spring and the new shim would not slide over the seal on the valve, so i know i will have to remove the seal

i really need some help here so i can get this put back together.

remove the stock seats. you will more than likely need new seals as they can sometimes tear when pulling them off the valves.
