Help changing passenger side o2

Hi all

I have a 94 T/A with stock manifolds and am changing o2 sensors. The drivers side was all to easy. I disconnected the battery, removed starter bolts, slide starter forward for access on the passenger side. I cannot slip my o2 sensor socket onto the 7/8 part of the o2 sensor as there is a lip from the exhaust manifold blocking me. I can get a wrench on it, but cannot bust it loose. I did put pblaster on the fitting, but it has been on there for 14 years. Any ideas would be appreciated. Can I use my die grinder to remove that lip or should I get a gear wrench flex head ratcheting 7/8 wrench and go at it that way. I feel once I break it loose, it will be easy. Oh well let me know.

Previous posts have suggested spraying heavily with WD-40 the night before and tackleing it the next day.You realy don't want to force something that's been in there that long.Hope this helps.

I had my old manifolds off and I could stand on the wrench with all my weight and it didn't budge. I ended up beating it off with a sludge hammer. I figure the jaring helped break it loose. I don't think it would have ever come off on the car with the limited access. Soaking it first and a few taps might help.
