ok so b4 i waste any more money changing parts needlessly i thought i would ask u guys what you think is wrong with my car, sorry its so long but im pulling my hair out with this .
ok so when i got my car about 6 months ago the fuel pump was making alittle bit of noise, it ran ok and it wasnt too bad so i just ignored it, well when it started getting cold out recently it sometimes, only sometimes would have trouble starting, it would start and just die unless i held the gas for about 10 seconds till it warmed up a little, and then it would idle very rough and very low, at like 400 rpm in drive. sometimes when the car was just started or after it was shut after a long drive it would make a verry very loud whining noise for about 10-20 seconds coming from the gas tank area and then it would stop. so i decided that since the fuel pump was going anyway and the fuel pressure was a little low (around 39 psi b4 start up) i would change the pump.
ok so now after spending 450 dollars on a new pump and sending unit, which coulda been better spent on a cam or some long tube headers, it is getting good fuel pressure but still has problems with ideling once and a while, and yesterday after i shut the car, it made the horrible noise again, and this was like 2 days after the fuel pump and sending unit were changed. and this morning it was having that hard starting problem again, except it is not as bad. i think i should also mention that when i take the gas cap off it seems like there is way too much pressure being released, so i tryed running it with no cap to see if mabe a vent line or somthing was pinched, but no change. the car also has bn o2s, k&n, and fuel filter.
any help is much appreciated
