Well, the car is pretty much undriveable at this point. Even a slight touch of the throttle will send the car into a bucking/stuttering frenzy. I'm grasping for ideas here - I had to drive the car 25 miles like that

misfiring is soooooooo bad on your engine (isn't it?)! i dont want to drive it like this anymore!

i don't see how anything could cause THIS bad of a misfire... besides the optispark

Have you checked for Opti-Spark trouble codes since it has started running this badly? Some trouble codes may have been set now.

Hey lane, If you want to bring it down to the southside I could take a look at it for you perhaps solve the problem.. If you think it will make it.

When mine did that it was because of a faulty O2 sensor.

Re: HELP! bad misfire on new plugs and Delteq!

A faulty o2 sensor wont cause the car to buck when its cold. Open loop should run just fine.

One plug wire wont cause the car to run so bad that its undrivable. Ive seen crossed plugs that are drivable.

Get it on a scanner to see what the codes are reading.

Just buy 1" header bolts and blue locktite them. Along wiht a good header gasket (FEL-1406), that will put an end to all your problems.

Check your fuel pressure too.
