Help Again Please

Okay Ive been posting for awhile about my problems but the good news I received all my parts today:

opti
water pump
plugs
wires

all this will go on this weekend.

the problem is, I took off my MAF and cleaned the screen. The problem got worse or maybe thesame actually!

this is whats going on in details:

I was driving down the road and the car just jerked about 25mph and acting like it wants to die and check engine light came on...check engine light goes off and runs fine. Parked it for a moment and started the car...fine.

Put it in over drive and the car revs like crazy while my foot is on the break(900-1300) back in forth like the car wants to go like crazy...temp is 240. whats the deal..and when I put it in PARK the car revs all the way up to 2200 one time and goes back down to 600 and calms down until I put it in over drive again,,, what the hell is going on! Please somebody help me,,,do you guys think this opti/water pump/plugs/wires will sove this problem?

Okay it does it in reverse as well!!!!

update:

Now it does it even in park and neutral!!!

And I have a friend put it on gear for me since it does it when its in gear most of the time

I hears shhhhhh...sound only when it does it (revs crazy) by the throttle body...i dont know if thats normal or not,, but what is this problem,, is this truly an ignition problem or what? how do you clean the throttle body and the IAC?

When I put it in neutral and park after it calms down reving it stills rev up to 2K and back down to 600 and calms down for a minute and rev crazy again...

how could this be an ignition problem?? can someone explain it to me please. also there is some kind of sensor close under neat or side of the pulleys belts and its full of gunk dirty.. what is this sensor thanks.

Here's where the IAC is located. You can try taking it off and cleaning it real good first before buying a new one. Also, do a search and you will find plenty of info on how to go about cleaning it.

You probalby did not get your intake elbow on correctly or it is ripped on the bottom (common, because people don't get them on correctly). Take it off and check for any damage and when you put it back on, use some Vaseline on the edge of the rubber and it will go on like butter.

Also make sure you did not put your MAF in backwards.

Jay R, check first your rubber intake elbow if no tears are visible then probably it was reinstalled improperly. Since your ride is MAF equipped, a tear would there would register incorrect air flow readings to your ECM. {actually getting more air than the MAF is detecting} Second, its about that time to just change out the OPTI****t! Hit me up with details on this project. Take care
