Help After Hotcam Install
Help After Hotcam Install
Ok i have all the mods in the sig...
I did get my car scanned and i got an engine code for an oxygen sensor, cuz i switched from OBDII to OBDI and from dual cat to single cat... i accidentally plugged the wrong o2 sensor in..
Now when i drive since the cam install i get some hesistation and it takes a while for the low rpms to go up
i g-teched my car @ 15.34 which is ****
ALSO my muffler makes a lot of noise, i think its from the baffles inside of the muffler?
so what is causing me to loose all this power??
The SES light was JUST for the o2 sensor
i did have a hotcam tune put in as well
Any Suggestions would be great, im goin to get the scanned again Friday night to see what the hell is goin on!
Thanks!

Could be severe Knock Retard. If you can get Freescan for the LT1, I'd recommend using it to read your Knock Sensor. Yes, a busted baffle can definately send a vibration to the heads and give false knock. So can mis-adjusted valves.
See if you're getting any knock. On my car, I notice a piece of the body metal touching the header. I must have run over something and it bent the metal... not much but a 1/4 inch enough to TAP on the header to create a "knock". I straightened it and it went away.
Again, see if there is some way you can check for Knock.

I should also ask... did you clear your SES? Did it come back? Did you change the O2? I hear that factory O2s are the only way to go.
Suppose it is out and you're running lean, that could cause "pinging" which would pull the advance out of your engine via the Knock Sensor.
This is a stretch but just trying to get some answers.
