Help

I just installed a new Optispark, however, the car still hesitates when I try to maintain a steady speed. The car will not hestitate when I accelerate, just when I stop completely and like I mentioned earlier, when I try to keep a steady speed. I changed spark plugs and have drove it around for a couple of days. What gives?? The SES light is not on so I don't know if a diagnostic scan will help. What should I do??? ANY suggestions would be helpful.

same problem

I have the same problem. Feedback please. I'm going to try a diagnostic tester. but no engine light is present. I notice my hesitation most on the highway at steady speed about every 5 seconds or so.

Maybe a sticking or leaky EGR valve or some vacuum leak? Still, if it is like a miss, you may need plug wires.

It actually was the EGR valve.

Its always good to post the outcome. A lot of members don't come back to say that they have fixed it. That is a good habit that I hope you keep

It helps other members when they go to search for a solution
