is the security light supose to flash before start(it flashes when the ignition is turned on)is this normal?My car wont start it turnes over but no spark to the coil or sparkplugs?I just installed the engine the engine I bought sat for 4 years in a warehouse could the opti have went bad?I changed the coil still no spark?Please help!Thanks!

The pcm is most likely looking for a resistance value that isn't there. You could send it off to madz28.com to get it programmed out or you could do it yourself, you'll have to go buy some resistors though, or else a variable resistor, assuming you have a multimeter, and test it out.

This is, or course, assuming that the security light is staying on. If that's not it, then you need to check for fuel & spark, and narrow it down from there. I don't see any reason the opti should go bad from sitting there, but it's possible. Most electronic components don't mind sitting around, it's the mechanical parts you've gotta watch out for.
