My dad just bought my brother and I a 1975 corvette stingray to work on. It didnt have an engine but my dad had a Lt1 from a 1996 corvette in our barn. We are going to drop that in the car and make the neccessary changes to make it fit. We also want to maximize our output (I know most of you understand that). My question is if any of you know of any websites or good books or guides to help us uprgade this engine. Or if any of you have any suggestions for me.

My dad is not going to spend more than $3,000 on the engine but he is buying wheels and the paint job for us. We are not going to turn this car into a "Trailer Queen". All we want is a fast, kick *** car to drive around. So any and all suggestions are appreciated.
We may be able to talk him into a couple hundred over if it is worth it.
