Exclamation Help!!

Hey -
I'm new to this forum, but have been following some messages for a while for tips and advice. Anyways, I just had the fun of replacing my optispark on my 1993 Camaro Z28. It took a while to do, and was sitting for a while, but it finally got done today. It was running fine at first, but the more I drive it, the more power it loses I dont see how I could have installed it wrong - took my time and everything, and I've worked on all of my other cars - Also, it's beginning to make a very unpleasant whining - kinda airy whistling sound when the engine revs. Anybody got any idea what might be wrong? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Chris

It could be the belt....or u could have a vaccum leak....tho i dont think that it would cause that big of a noticable whistle, make sure all ur hoses are still hooked up and didnt come off while driving, like the ones connected to the opti itself. Good Luck

hey since you're new to the site...I'll try to give you some advice. Relate your subject to your problem. That way when someone sees "engine funky after opti install" they can say hey, I know about opti's lets go in there. It just gives you a heads up on whats inside and may get you a better response.

Thanks for the tips guys - I'll check it out again in the morning - and probably post a new thread with a little bit more concise subject. Meanwhile, if anyone else has any other ideas what could be causing this, it would be much appreciated! Thanks!
