Ok so i was out in the garage messin around with the 1.6's and decided to just throw one on and see what it looked like. I took off the rocker arm from the very back and right side of the motor. When i put the new rocker arm on the nut that holds it on was sticking up out of the rocker arm too much for the valve cover to seat on all the way. whats going on here. I thought that all 1.6's fit with stock valve covers?? These are the 1.6 aluminum 1 Summit Racing Roller Rockers they are the ones that are $159.99.

 

Just hack/dremel off on the valve cover whatever's hitting it.

 

You are probably hitting on the little brace that holds the tube the bolt goes through. Most people dremel off the little 90 degree bend on it to make the brace thinner.

I put Crane golds on the wife's vert and they fit under the stock covers with no problem. Also put some Comp Pro Magnums on another engine with stock covers.
