If you like owning a fast car you've got to put up with it's problems. If I took your F-Body and gave you a Lamborghini saying you could keep it if you installed headers I bet you'd be begging for your old car back.

How do you like your American thunder system? I love the sound of mine, but i can't seem to get the exhaust to hang evenly. The whole system is sorta cocked to the passenger's side a tiny bit. It's not noticible unless you really look closely though. Do you have the same problem?

Can't you just pull the rear bumper off to get complete access to the engine? That's what I used to do on my uncles Diablo.

To change headers on a lambo you need to pull the whole motor , lol.

I love the sound of it too. I've heard it's not as free flowing as some other cat-backs, but I don't care. The only thing I don't like about it is the turn down tips, but mine is about 3 years old now and I think it comes with better looking tips now. I didn't have any fitment issues with it. It looks pretty straight to me.

I'd somehow find a way if I could keep it. I wouldn't care if I had to remove every bolt on the car!

Agreed! I would disassemble the car around the headers if necessary to get a free Lambo!

I don't think they are even all that hard to work on (F-Bodys). You just have to have time and patients and you can do anything on those. Many people do their own headers (i will be doing mine). All my buddies put in their own cams and do their own suspension.

Patience is definitely a plus when working on cars. If you don't take your time and do it right, you're sure to get so-so results. It's probably why I've done a few things on my car two or three times.
