when i drive the car and the heater is on the car tends to runs a lot hotter than when the heater is off why does this effect my car in sig.

also when sitting still the car tends to run way hotter until i step on the gas than the car goes back to regular temp 180.

 

Well your car heating up when stopped is kinda normal. I dont know how high yours goes but i would guess its becuase there is no air flowing through the radiator thus the coolant isnt getting cooled like it is when your moving. Have you checked your heater core for it possibly being clogged???

 

No! how would you go about doing that and is the heater core in the dash like my iroc.
