Heater Hoses, which ones to flush and clean for hotter air?!?(Picture Inside)
http://shbox.com/1/heater_hoses.jpg
You all said in a previous post to pull the two heater hoses off the firwall and flush them out, well from the smell my heater has been giving of and the poor heat I have decided to give it a try.
So I pull off hoses #20 and #21 right and flush them out with a hose, let the water go in and come out the other one? I am just checking to make sure I don't mess anything up, do I need to let them dry out or anything after. So that is all i gotta do right, I thought I heard somebody saying something else about them being connected to the radiator, These are not coolant lines are they?
Hail anybody who help me out and thank you all for your time

Well I don't think I'll be much help but I just finished installing the whole complete set of heater hoses which cost me about $130 at the dealer ship and took me little bit more than 4 hours to take out and put in the new ones. Very painfull since I have about a million cuts on my hands now. I'm not really sure how to do the flush but if your thinking of pulling them out completely and reinstalling them, take your time and make sure your not going anywhere soon. I wish I could be more of a help.
Just open both hoses at the front of the engine and use the garden hose to flush. Flush into one hose then reverse and flush into the other one. Keep water directed away from the opti.
Yes, these are coolant hoses.
If you have a smell inside your car, your heater core is probably leaking and needs to be replaced.
