Heater Hose Hole

I have a hole in the steam hose shown in this picture.

http://shbox.com/1/tb_bypass.jpg

The part with the hole connects to the waterpump and back to the metal part with the bleeder screw.

Do I have to buy that whole thing or can i just replace that little bit of hose? and does anyone know what type of hose that is?

thanks in advance !

Are you referring to the steam pipe that is coming from the passenger side rear head or what? Go back to sh.box.com and look at the hose diagrams for the heater-----the hoses you show, I believe are for the by-pass mod which does include a "steam pipe" but it does not connect to the water pump. Get back to us.

Oh, nah. I'm talking the heater hose that goes onto the water pump. I have already bypass'd my throttle body but its the L shaped hose that connects to that bleeder valve.

Doesnt have to do with the steam one, oops!

Its to the left of the thermostat!

You can just replace the part of hose that has the hole.

Ok this might sound ghetto but its an easy cheap fix that works well.

If it is leaking around the crimped fitting where the bleeder is located ( in front of the alternator) then use a blade only from a hack saw ( or a pipe cutting tool) and cut the crimped fitting off, cut away the leaking peice of hose and slide the hose further down onto the bleeder tube.

All parts of the hose are available separately, as well.
