Heat Shielding engine bay.

has anyone on here Heat shielded thier engine bay?

I've thought about heat shielding the firewall, but not sure what to use under the hood. I was thinking of some high temp foil backed insulation and a can of spray glue or maybe some foil sided peel and seal under carpet on the inside. I'd be interested in any other paths to take.
