Heads and Intake gains

I have a 93 Formula, and I'm getting my heads p/p and putting 2.02 intake 1.60 exhaust valves in, w/ a p/p, port matched intake, what gains should I see w/ longtubes, catback, and CAI over stock? No cam or tune yet

Well, most companies do not bother putting valves that big in the stock head because it requires new seats which is extra cost and expense without gain.

Heads and intake with a stock cam is a waste.
Engine modification atall without a tune is a waste. A tune is a good upgrade without engine work.

"Ported heads" means almost nothing but someone attacked them with a grinder, they could ruin them or make them capable of 600hp+ NA or anything in between.

Some porters understand how to make the small port high efficiency heads work some don't. If he is so old school he thinks he needs to put new seats in and big valves like that I would not bet on him being great with the small port high efficiency heads.

If your going to change the heads why not stick a cam in at the same time? your going to be almost right there anyways. a few more bolts and your there. do it. you know you want to. Oh and on this forum, unless your heads are ported by Loyyd Elliott, they are worse off than stock heads. Is the shop going to put them on a flowbench when they are done with them? You should get the flow numbers from them.

I would say maybe 20hp at the wheel... Your better off leaving stock heads and doing just a cam with exhaust, this would yield twice the power of your other combo.... Also DONT touch the intake its worthless....
