Heads/Cam/Stock Bottom End LT1 Record?
I've searched far and wide for this information but I can't seem to find it for the LT1 cars. Here is what I believe to be the record or close to it for the LS1 crowd: http://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread...ight=heads+cam
I heard somewhere that there has been a 530 rwhp heads/cam LS1 car too but I can't find anything on it anywhere.
I'm curious if any LT1, LT4, Trick Flow, AFR, etc. heads/cam combo has been able to turn out numbers fairly close to these, yet maintain decent streetability like the combo in the link. I've heard that Lloyd Elliot's LE3 package will get around 420 rwhp but surely that can be beat with something from AFR or something. If you know of the record or close to it for LT1 cars please post up.

Re: Heads/Cam/Stock Bottom End LT1 Record?
There were 3 500+rwhp ls1 cam/ head cars .Granted these were 6 speed cars.. And granted its based on internal /in house dynoing ..One of which I know personally, that truly did was Rapid..
Cartek
LG
Rapid Motorsports
Lt1 I'm not to sure and I'm not sure if there is a DYNO record as it were... Dyno's to me don't mean alot..to others it does I suppose...None the less ET wise I can prolly name a few with stock bottom end and factory casting intake and heads that probably put down good power ( 440-480) if they were a 6 speed and on radials on a reputable dyno...
Chris Jones 11.0's @120-123 (oem lt4 castings)
James Eddy 11.0's@120 (oem lt1 castings)
Frank Benoit 11.4's @116 *no ported heads or cam
Russ Etheridge 11.2-3?'s (oem lt1 castings)
Mac Holmes 11.4@118 (oem lt1 castings)
few others I'm sure !!!

Thanks for replying Joe. I've heard that you are basically the God of the LT1 world so if you say that dyno numbers aren't everything I'll believe you. 11.0s are very quick for a stock bottom end LT1. Can you remember the MPH for those times and what kind of heads (LT1, LT4, AFR, etc.) that were used? Are these cars fairly streetable?

Im gonna say the same thing I say with all the "Cam only LS1 craze"....
Do not copy the setup of a drag car and expect the same results. Learn what works and what doesnt before you think a cam only LS1 is gonna run 10.4s. Those cars weigh 2800 lbs with 5500 stall converters and pull ~1.3 short times. Any drag car set up right is gonna run well with a good driver, regardless of dyno numbers. Im sure a stock LS1 set up perfectly could pull 11-5-12.0s all day long with a beefy enough drivetrain and enough tire.
My point is, dont go chasing a wet dream of track cars on a DD. You are going to be sadly dissapointed.
