Heads and Cam
I did a search and I didn't find what i was looking for. Do you think stage 1 ported heads and a cc306 cam is too much for a daily driver? I want to keep this streetable. If that's too much, would it even be beneficial to get ported heads with a cc305? Thanks
The CC306 is a highly debated topic on this site as to streetability. I know that there are some old threads with way more information than you would even want.
Do a search using CC306 or XE230/236 and just look at all the threads you will see.
BTW... I don't have your answer, but I did finally choose the XE230/236 and I am gathering parts to install.

Well i don't see headers in your sig so i wouldn't be doing a cam just yet if i was you. the 306 is a decent cam and makes ok power. I think you should get stage 2 heads with the cam though. I am probably going to be switching in a custom grind cam one of these days. I'd say with stage 1 heads, cc306 and some bolt ons you should make 350-370rwhp pretty easily. Plan to shift at atleast 6500rpms though. Also my car is a turd until it wakes up at about 4k. It makes enough torque but compared to a bolt on or 305 making 330rwtq from 2k-5.5k i don't have much of a chance and with stock gears it kinda sucks waiting for your power to kick in. Kinda feels like a massive turbo.
