Headers and Cat Install

Alright well ive got my headers coming in the mail and should be here in the next couple weeks. Im getting a custom y-pipe made to fit up with the headers.

A question arrised when i was told that im going to need to run dual cats in the y-pipe. My car is a 95 OBDI car and im almost positive i can run the cat right after the y-pipe and still be emissions friendly. He on the other hand has a 96 OBDII and i dont think he relizes that one yet.

Can anyone help me out here?

Re: Headers and Cat Install

What kind of headers are your running? If you are running long tubes, then two cats may be a good idea simply because they will be placed alot closer to the header collectors and would be more efficient then a single cat sitting at the end of your y-pipe.
