Yeah forgot about that, Jethots are normally $560 shipped now from jethot. GP starting 12-1-03 for $499+$25 shipping. Also ,transam41282, did you get yours in the original GP for $510 shipped, or is that through another retailer?

For long tubes Super Chevy said TPIS were the best performing and easiest to install header they had used on an LT1. And said it had best ground clearence also. When I go to long tube Ima get these.

What happened to TPiS? They have the best clearance out of all the named headers....

Cool

What about Mac Headers? The fitment and plug access is awesome. I though I might give my .02. Good luck in your choice.

Definately the Jet Hots man. they are the same layout as the Hookers but they are a different gauge steel. Slightly thicker = Better.

Good Luck,

If I want emissions legality and good power I'd recommend the AS&M headers, if emissions are of no concern then TPIS all the way.

The only thing I dont get about the TPIS headers is, can they really be worth the $300 more than Jethots, I doubt it, they dont even come with 3-bolt collector flanges do they? I would guess they either have jethot coating, or its not as good as jethot coating, because I would also guess that jethot has the best ceramic coating around. Sure they supposedly have the best ground clearance, but $300 worth of ground clearance???

Probably not, but I'm the guy that snatched em from under you from the guy who was selling them for $400 shipped...

I've heard of the jet-hot coating actually coming off of the headers after a few months of use...I don't know if maybe just that one set was bad or what....but I've never heard of the coating coming off of the TPiS LT's...
