I really like the Pacesetters. They aren't equal length, but they fit really well, have some of the best ground clearance I've seen, and sound great. You'll give up a few HP compared to a set of good equal length headers, but they are a few hundred cheaper as well. You can get a set of coated Pacesetters for well under $500. For a little more money, I'd suggest the Jet-Hot's. They are the same design as the Hooker's, but have a little better coating from what I've seen and appear to have a thicker flange. I had those on my 94 LT1 and loved them except for the ground clearance problems and mediocre plug access.

BTW: Whenever you post to ask for a response, you need to let us know what it is that you have, including mods, and you need to tell us what it is that you expect. E.g., wanting to know about headers, you should also include such things as what your emissions regs are for your area as well as understand that there are also federal regulations that you are required to follow.

If you you do not follow this protocal, you are going to wind up with responses that may be entirely inappropriate and may cause you, and perhaps others, to do the wrong thing. I'm just sayin'....

So apparenty you have no restricitons as far as an exhaust system---so an approprate response would be to go with the least restrictive exhaust system which would most likely be long-tube headers, based on what you can afford, along with straight 3" duals, no cats and no mufflers.

You can get pacesetter coated LT and off road Y for $500 shiped. Jet-Hots are a bit more but are also nicer.. If you want best bang for the buck though go with pacesetters and offroad Y pipe...

Thanks for the info everyone...My car is all ready equiped with borla cat. How loud would it be with longtubes? Does anyone have any sound clips? Would the car back fire for being wide open no cats? Not to much back pressure...
