Re: Headers??

i just ordered hooker 1 3/4 LT headers, y-pipe, catback... the loss of power on bottom.. if any... the topend makes up for it by far... and i know many ppl that have LT headers and say they dont feel a drop in bottom end at all....

hooker is very good for the price range... imo the best for that price, but.. theres MANY brands out there that are good...

Re: Headers??

I have SLP 1 3/4 mids on both my cars. I gained top end and didn't lose any on bottom. I had the RK Sports mid once and hated them. I have a friend with hooker LTs and they seem pretty good. I hear alot ot good things about the pacesetter long tubes.

Re: Headers??

I just bought the Jet-Hot LT's and y-pipe, I've heard theirs is basically close to the Hooker design and they come with their coating instead of a generic type coating.

Re: Headers??

Actually when jethot designed there headers they copied the hookers. only thing that they did differently was have the collectors about 3/4" to 1" higher than where they would be with the hookers. They also use 2gauge thicker material for the tubing and there coating is inside and out and i don't believe the hookers are coated inside could be wrong though.

Re: Headers??

Yeah i have Jet hots and i noticed gains both top end and bottom end. I did have an open Y pipe though. Jet hots are coated inside and out. I didnt have to unbolt my engine at all to install them either. I think all hooker, Jet hot, and Pacesetter are all 1 3/4". Kooks are 1 7/8". Be sure to get coated otherwise they will look like crap after a few days.
