I was wondering what the best headers for my lt1 1996 camaro would be and if putting true duals would add much horsepower. If theres anything else you think i should do please tell me

Re: Headers

yup the jet hot long tubes are great. they keep the engine bay temps down alot so no burned wires. have had them on for almost 8 months with no probs

Re: Headers

I have jet hot l/ts also and love them. But we need to know more about your car. Is ground clearance a concern? Is the car lowered or do you plan on lowering. Is emissions an issue where you live? I've heard good things about Mac and AS&M mid lengths also.

Re: Headers

I run my wires in basically the stock locations, I do run 5 and 7 over the top but I just did my own custom job.
I run number 2 in the stock location underneath the alternator and the rest on the passenger side I run through the accessory bracket.
I used lots of zip ties to keep the wires where I want them and convoluted tubing on the wires running through the bracket.
I have Jet Hot coated Hooker LTs and MSD 8.5s, I have over 20k on them with no problems.
You don,t NEED an OVC kit if you pay attention to your routing.

Re: Headers

if you have the money Kook's seem to be preferred by many people here. They have better plug access and are made from stainless steel. They are what I am saving up for next.
