ok the more important issue. i want to know what would be around the best exhaust system, i want a system that adds the most hp, sounds the best and loudest and doesnt cost so much $$$$$$. which headers sould i get also?? shorties ???? longtubes??? and what kind? just need some advice before i go blow lots of money. thanks

To bleed the system there are two screws on the hoses right over where the t-stat is. Just loosen that bad boy until water starts to come out. I usually do it twice. Once now and then once a couple days from now.

As for your headers...that is debated all the time. It depends on where you live and if you have emissions inspections. Usually guys like in Cali will go with shorties to keep it emissions legal. Or like you I have a 97 with dual cats and opted to go with SLP shorties. WIsh I went through the extra trouble and got LT's though. SLP shorties have good HP gain but cost some bucks.

Do a search on the subject.

good luck

I agree, Hooker Long tubes or jet hot long tubes are the way to go. You can usually find Jet hots for cheaper (www.mascperformance.com), and they are better quality with a better finish. Also will need a y-pipe for either of those as the stock one will not fit. As for exhaust, Hooker catback is inexpensive and sounds pretty good, make sure it's 3".
