Question Headers

I know this ? has been asked a lot and probably comes up about once a day on here, but I am not on here too much and wanted to figure out what all you guys had to say about which headers to get for my 97 Z. I was thinking hooker lt's with an off road y-pipe or the FLP Long tubes. Any other suggestions? Complaints? Compliments? Good, bad whatever, please let me know and thanks for your time.

No complaints with FLP here. I like the fact you can put on either cats or ORPs when you want and comes with everything you need for the install. Mine's even came with 2 O2 sims and a O2 wire harness extension. Only draw back is it's pricey. Got it for $1270 shipped from Stealth Performance. Thunder Racing have FLPs at 10% off.

i don't think for the price differnce FLPs aren't worth it - depending on exactly how serious you're going with set up... but everyone who has them LOVES them that i've heard.

For what FLPs cost they better come with everything including a mail order bride.
I went with Jet Hot coated Hooker LTs and I love em.
Jet Hots own LTs are basically the same as hookers so you can,t go wrong either way.

I have Jet Hot Hooker LTs and love them. And they where like under $600. And jet hot does have there own longtubes and are proably doing a group buy in the group buy forum.

I went with SLP's shorties and they are coated by Jet Hot. Don't let anyone tell you that shorty header B.S. People will say you only gain around 7 hp with them, but that is ridiculous. I only have CAI, !cats, and a Flowmaster, and once I put the shorties in, the difference was VERY noticeable. Just a little advice.

All middy headers are very nice, and you will put down more than 7rwhp or whatever you claimed everyone says, however, if you plan on during cam/etc, you will put down much more power overall with LTs. And besides if you are getting headers why not just go LT? Got my JetHot LTS for under $500 shipped...
